Diet is a more natural and non-invasive way of treating a variety of conditions. Clinical diets for dogs are often used to help treat heart disease, liver disease, joint problems, arthritis, digestive problems, bladder stones and skin diseases. Unlike other insurance companies, we'll pay up to half of the cost of a clinical diet your dog is prescribed, for life (as long as it is not to promote weight-loss).

Behavioural Treatment |

Behavioural therapy is very important especially for pets that have been adopted from rescue centres. With Pet Protect Lifelong Plus Protection, behavioural therapy is included within the vet fees benefit, so you get up to £6,000 per year towards it. And that can make all the difference to your family’s relationship with your pet. Your pet can be referred to a behavioural specialist by your vet. Once there, they can be treated for such problems as aggression or separation anxiety.

This is important cover if you have a breed that has a predisposition to a congenital or hereditary condition that may have been transmitted through a parent. Unlike many other insurance policies, Pet Protect will cover a congenital or hereditary condition provided it is not present or apparent at the start of the policy.
