The Business

A friendly, lively and fast growing insurance provider, based in Redhill, Surrey.

The Role

As part of a small, friendly team, the successful candidate will provide first line support to customers making initial enquiries via telephone :

  • Receive and respond to incoming calls from existing customers in relation to general policy/product enquiries. Also, be prepared to respond to renewal queries from existing customers.
  • Ensure the delivery of the highest possible levels of customer care and look to retain and convert renewal policies, justifying changes to the policy from the previous year to the customer.
  • Re-sell features and benefits of products.
  • Aim to actively resolve customer queries at the first attempt in a prompt and enthusiastic manner. Follow all customer queries through to completion within service level.
  • Achieve call targets on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis in communication with your line manager.
  • Assess customer needs and offer alternatives where applicable.
  • Handle objections with effective feedback and provide comparisons with competitor products.
  • Ensure consistent adherence to Pet Protect procedures.
  • Respond constructively to customer queries and record customer details using the note facility on the system.
  • Ensure compliance with all insurance regulatory bodies at all times.
  • Provide support for other Operational areas as required.

The Candidate / Key skills required

  • Educated to GCSE standard
  • Computer literate with knowledge of Windows NT
